The idea for the Sapphire Series appeared while I slept as most of my story ideas do. They present as murky dreams while semi awake but when fully coherent the vision becomes crystal clear. The ideas flow in relentless waves all the way to the end of the story. It is a good thing a pen and paper are always close. The writing only stops when there is nothing else to say…sometimes.
Therefore, if you discovered that the man you loved and thought you knew was not who you thought he was, what would you do? What if he rocked your world one night; really knocked your boots and set you on the tilt -a- world, slinging his love on you all through the night but the next day announced that he was leaving you for someone else and that someone else was another man. You would think he was joking at first. Lela thought Kevin was joking too but when reality hit, she snapped and killed him. She never even try to cover it up when she left unrushed. She went on the lamb. Every day she lives with what she did. Was it a choice? Did she really have a choice in what she did? While she ponders those questions, she has to save her own life until she comes up with the answers.
Lela grew up happy. All her needs met. She received whatever her heart desired. Maybe that was it. She was not used to losing. Nevertheless, she must decide if her life is worth spending the rest of it behind bars. She never asked for any of this. She is now on the run and her stronger judgment keeps kicking in each time she tells her self to do the right thing. However, according to the circumstances, the right thing seems to be to keep running. Through each episode, that is exactly what she does.

What the author hopes to accomplish with the Sapphire Series is a fan base for readers who appreciate being intrigued into dark worlds or inspired by inner strength through Lela's story. She is someone you will love to hate or hate that you love. She is a beautiful disaster that just so happened. You will ask yourself is she a heroin or a hussy? You will find that she is a tempest with a reason. The reason is her freedom. The purpose of the Sapphire Series is for you to get caught-up in a whirlwind of mystery, romance, and crime. You will be enchanted one moment and mystified the next.
